Running Workshop: Preventing Injuries and Trainig for a Half Marathon
Tuesday, June 25
Learn the "need to knows" for a successful race experience from training runs to race day! Jeff Samyn, certified physical therapist with Northern Michigan Sports Medicine Center, will share his expertise with tips for runners of all abilities from beginners to experienced. He will cover how to identify, address and prevent the most common running injuries as well as how to build your running base and progress from there injury-free. Selecting the proper running shoe for your foot aslo will be covered. Don't miss this chance to get off, and stay, on the right foot! The lecture will be held at The Outfitter at 7:00 pm. For women of all ages and abilities! We offer workshops and outings year-round so that women can get outdoors and explore our local landscape in a positive and supportive learning environment. $10.00 fee per workshop and equipment rental available as needed.
